To Read List #1

Today I wanted to introduce you to a new series of posts I decided to do which is To Read List! These posts will contain books I recently picked up and am planning to read in the near future. Not only will they may become handy to you if you are looking for some new reads but also it will give me motivation to read some more. It's something I love but I just didn't find the time to do. Hopefully this works out! Also, after I finish them I'll post a seperate review post with my thoughts on it. So this can be a little book club I assume! haha Well, hopefully someone will like it, and if not, I have plenty of posts coming up on other topics :)
Let's start with the books I picked up yesterday from the library! (Sorry for Lithuanian titles and all, I didn't want to use stock pictures so maybe you will appreciate it haha For me, it is really interesting to see how different book covers look in different countries because I'm weird like that!)
First book I picked up is Can You Keep a Secret? by Sophie Kinsella. It's the author's first stand-alone book published in 2005. I fell inlove with Kinsella's books when I read the Confessions of a Shopaholic series a few years ago. They are the perfect easy chick-lit books and from what I've read online, other books by her are also really popular so I wanted to see for myself!
The plot of this book follows Emma Corrigan, a young woman in London, England. She is in a stable, but dull, relationship with the "perfect" man, and is currently attempting to climb the corporate ladder at Panther Cola, a multi-national cola company headquartered in London. Satisfied with life, she is thrown off-kilter when she mistakenly blurts out all of her inner secrets to a complete stranger on a plane when it hits turbulence and she believes she is going to die. Emma believes that she is in the clear when she leaves the plane, as she is confident that she will never see that stranger again. However, when he shows up at work, and turns out to be the company's founder, she is forced to come face-to-face with the man, her secrets, and the desire for her life to change. The plot is really interesting and I can't wait to dig into the book!
Another one I picked up is Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. I had my eye on this book for quite a while now just never got around to picking it up. Lauren Oliver is probably most known for Delirium, the amazing series I've read in what seems like an hour haha They were so easy and so addicting to read! (Review here)
"Samantha Kingston has it all: the world's most crush-worthy boyfriend, three amazing best friends, and first pick of everything at Thomas Jefferson High—from the best table in the cafeteria to the choicest parking spot. Friday, February 12, should be just another day in her charmed life. Instead, it turns out to be her last. Then she gets a second chance. Seven chances, in fact. Reliving her last day during one miraculous week, she will untangle the mystery surrounding her death—and discover the true value of everything she is in danger of losing."
I've already started this book and so far it is exactly what I expected! It's funny, really suitable for teenagers but if you're older and into Young Adult books this one is definitely for you! I just like these easy, not much to think about reads, although it may turn out to have a deeper meaning once the story really develops.

So, that's all I picked up this time! Really easy reads to get into the reading game again!

Have you read these? What did you think?

  2. Thank you so much! It's so nice to see someone liking it because I've been really scared that no one would!
You should definitely try reading Delirium if you are into young adult/romance/action novels. I can't recommend it enough!
